K2’s Short Stories

I’ve completed 22 short stories. A few of which are worthy of being shared here. The rest are absolute crap or trapped in a slush pile on some editor’s desk. The best ones will be published in my upcoming collection: Tales of Midnight.

Most of the stories below originated from NYCMidnight contests. (If you’ve never heard of them, they’re a ton of fun! Check it out here.) In these contests writers are split into groups and each is given a specific genre and location, subject, character, or object to include in the story. Based on these prompts, we are given a week or weekend to write a 2500 or 1000 word story. I always try to interpret these prompts in the most unique way I can think of.
